Special Worship Saturday April 18,2026 – Installation of Pastor Brian Donovan as pastor and teacher for Raymond Village Community Church.
The first hymn “Part of the Family” from the Pilgrim Lodge songbook spoke to RVCC’s belief that we are a family and all are welcome here.
Installation confirms and celebratesthe covenantal relationship among a local church, its pastor and teacher, and the United Church of Christ. Installation is a sign that these covenantal partners are committed to share mutually in the mission of the United Church of Christ and of the ecumenical church.
Near the end of the service we sang “We are the Church” from the Pilgrim Lodge songbook and “Blessed be the tie that binds” We are feeling blessed to have pastor Brian and his wife Angel as part of RVCC!
Worship in a new way beginning October 2025.
No matter what day and time we worship, our worship includes: Prayer, Scripture, Reflection, and often music.
We invite everyone to participate in the two sacraments of the church. These rituals help us to celebrate God’s grace and love in evocative and visual ways.
Through Baptism, God embraces you – no matter who you are – as you begin your Christian journey. Through Baptism, we recall the special covenant we have with God and with this church family who vows to love, support, and care for you always.
We celebrate Communion on the first Sunday of every month as well as at special services such as Ash Wednesday and Maundy Thursday. We share a simple meal of bread and juice as we recall the loving acts of Jesus, commit ourselves to similarly loving acts of justice, and experience oneness with God and the presence of Christ in our lives. Currently (2020) we are using individual communion packets.
